Bumbung Stadium Hoki Ais di Námestovo, Slovakia Runtuh!! || Ice Hockey Rink Roof Collapses in Námestovo, Slovakia

Uploaded by on Jan 25, 2012
This is the dramatic moment that the roof of a new skating rink collapsed onto children as they trained for ice hockey.

Events unfolded in Námestovo, Slovakia, after a heavy snow fall that the recently-opened building could not support.

At the time of the incident, the young hockey players were being taught by former Florida Panthers right wing, Richard Zednik.

He and the children managed to get off the rink in time as the roof slowly bulges downwards before crashing down onto the ice.

In a bizarre stroke of luck, crash barriers around the perimeter of the playing area are tall enough and strong enough to support the load that suddenly lands on them.

The barriers form tunnels so that all the people inside can make a safe exit.

It appears that the goal tender is the first to notice that something is amiss after diving onto the ice to stop a puck. He hears a distinctive crack and looks around to see where it came from, ignoring the shots that are being made on net.

Parents at the side of the rink also notice that things are amiss as bits of the roof start to fall down before the centre of the roof buckles under the weight of the snow, pushing downwards.

The building's lights flicker on and off, but fortunately there is enough time for people to get off the ice and towards the exits before the ceiling settles on the floor.

The cameraman then does a lap of the rink looking at the tunnel that has been created by the barriers.

In 2008 he suffered an injury that almost killed him when his neck was sliced by the skate blade of a falling team-mate.

The blade slashed his external carotid artery and left a trail of blood across the ice as he made his way to his team-mates.

HOLLYWOOD star Liam Neeson is considering giving up his Roman Catholic beliefs and becoming a Muslim.
The actor, 59, admitted that Islamic prayer "got into his spirit" while filming in Istanbul, the Herald Sun reported.
"The call to prayer happens five times a day, and for the first week, it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit, and it's the most beautiful, beautiful thing," he told The Sun.
“There are 4000 mosques in the city. Some are just stunning, and it really makes me think about becoming a Muslim."
Neeson was raised in Northern Ireland as a devout Roman Catholic and was named after the local priest.
But the star - whose wife, Natasha Richardson, died aged 45 in a skiing accident in 2009 - has spoken about challenges to his faith.
"I was reared a Catholic, but I think every day we ask ourselves, not consciously, what are we doing on this planet? What's it all about? I'm constantly reading books on God or the absence of God and atheism," he said.
His latest movie, The Grey, about an oil-drilling team that crashes in freezing Alaska, is set to be released on February 16.

Neeson mahu peluk Islam

Bagaimanapun, dia beberapa kali mempertikaikan keyakinannya.
“Saya diajar mengenai Katolik, tetapi saya tertanya-tanya setiap hari secara tidak sedar - apa yang kita lakukan di dunia ini sebenarnya? “Saya sentiasa membaca buku mengenai Tuhan dan fahaman atheis,” katanya. - TS

Sinar Radiasi Dari Ribut Matahari Terbesar Bertembung Dengan Atmosfera Bumi || Solar Radiation From A Massive Sun Storm Collided With The Earth's Atmosphere

- Agensi

'Space Hurricane': Huge Solar Storm Is Pounding Earth Now
by Denise Chow, SPACE.com Staff Writer
Date: 24 January 2012 Time: 11:55 AM ET
The images above show a HUGE solar flare as observed by the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) on NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) at 0327, 0342, and 0412 GMT on January 23 (10:27 p.m., 10:42 p.m. and 11:12 p.m. EST on Jan. 22).
CREDIT: NASA/SDO

A wave of charged particles from an intense solar storm is pummeling the Earth right now, which may trigger stunning aurora displays and cause minor disruptions to satellites over the next two days, NASA scientists say.
The storm began when a powerful solar flare erupted on the sun yesterday (Jan. 23), blasting a stream of charged particles toward Earth. This electromagnetic burst, called a coronal mass ejection (CME), hit Earth at about 9:31 a.m. EST (1430 GMT), according to scientists at the Space Weather Center at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.
"It's a minor to moderate storm," Yihua Zheng, a lead researcher at the Space Weather Center, told SPACE.com. "Probably in the next 10 hours or so, people at high latitudes can see auroras. This could maybe cause communication errors at the polar caps, but the magnetic activities are probably not too strong."
The northern lights displays will be especially visible for people in northern latitudes where it is currently night.
"For parts of Europe already, and further points to the east, we should expect to see strong magnetic storm conditions," Harlan Spence, an astrophysicist at the University of New Hampshire, director of its Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space, told SPACE.com. "There's a very good chance tonight that we'll be seeing some very strong auroral displays. Typically auroras occur at relatively high latitudes, but for events like this, you could get auroras down at mid to low latitudes."

When a coronal mass ejection hits Earth, it can trigger potentially harmful geomagnetic storms as the charged particles and the fields within it interact with the planet's magnetic field lines. This can amp up normal displays of Earth's auroras (also known as the northern and southern lights), but a strong CME aimed directly at Earth can also cause disruptions to satellites in orbit, as well as power grids and communications infrastructures on the ground.
Yesterday's solar flare set off an extremely fast-moving CME, Zheng said, and the associated radiation storm was the strongest since 2005. But the ejected cloud of plasma and charged particles was not directly aimed at Earth, and is hitting the planet at an angle instead. This glancing blow will likely lessen any impacts on Earth, she added. [Photos: Huge Solar Flare Sparks Major Radiation Storm]
"Earth's magnetic field served as a shield, and pretty much shielded the radiation so that it doesn't penetrate that deep," Zheng said. "It's like a car collision: head-on or off to the side. A CME is like that too. For this one, if it was a direct hit, Earth would receive a much stronger impact. This one was on an angle — toward higher latitudes and a little off the ecliptic — otherwise it would be a much stronger impact."
Still, the storm does rank as the biggest space radiation event in about seven years, Spence said.
"It's not as big as some of the big, historic storms, but the chance for re-intensification is still possible because this active spot on the sun that created the initial havoc could go off again," he explained.
On Monday, NOAA deputy chief Kathy Sullivan told attendees of the 92nd annual American Meteorological Society meeting in New Orleans, La., that the storm would likely force some commercial airlines to reroute planes that fly over the Earth's polar regions as a precautionary measure. Today, Delta Airlines announced it had rerouted some flights between Asia and the United States, most notably flights from Detroit to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Seoul, to avoid the solar storm's effects, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Several NASA satellites, including the Solar Dynamics Observatory, the Solar Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), and the Stereo spacecraft observed the massive sun storm. Data from these spacecraft were combined to help scientists create models to calculate when and where the CME was going to hit Earth.
"A CME is kind of like a space hurricane," Zheng said. "You have to predict how it will form and evolve. From the models, we can see which spacecraft will be in its path, and what will be impacted."
At the Space Weather Center, scientists were able to pinpoint the arrival of the CME more accurately than ever before.
"We predicted it would arrive at 9:18 a.m. and in reality, it arrived at 9:31 a.m., so ours has a 13-minute error," Zheng said. "Usually for this kind of model, the average error is seven hours, so this is the best case."
Yesterday's solar flare was rated an M9-class eruption, which placed it teetering on the edge of being an X-class flare, the most powerful type of solar storm. M-class sun storms are powerful but mid-range, while C-class flares are weaker.
The flare erupted from sunspot 1402, a region near the meridian of the sun that has been active for a while now, Zheng said. The powerful solar storm could be signaling that the sun is waking up after an extended period of relative dormancy.
The sun's activity waxes and wanes on an 11-year cycle. The star is currently in the midst of Solar Cycle 24, and activity is expected to continue ramping up toward the solar maximum in 2013.

Anonymous is Back!!!

Anonymous

By Casey Chan @ gizmodo.com

Anonymous Just Deleted CBS.com and Took Down Universal

Taking a shorter break than their last vacation, Anonymous is back at it already. Reports are coming in that they had completely knocked out CBS.com and are continuing their revenge spree. The CBS takedown wasn't your regular DDoS attack because if you went to CBS.com at the time Anon attacked it, there was nothing except an index page with a single file. That's it. Basically, Anonymous gained access to CBS.com and deleted EVERYTHING.
CBS.com

CBS.com has managed to put itself back up but we'll be on the lookout of Anonymous' next move. This is going to be interesting. Last time Anon went on a revenge spree, well, the DOJ, RIAA, MPAA, Universal, EMI, FBI and others all got a piece of the takedown fun. Update: Looks like they just took down UniversalMusic.com again too!

Update 2: Anon is now going after websites in Brazil. The Hacker News reports that websites of Brazil's federal district, the city of Tangara da Serra and popular Brazilian singer Paula Fernandes have been brought offline in a DDoS attack. Anonymous' message on the affected websites? "If Megaupload is down, you are down too."

Update 3: Vivendi, a French media company involved in music, film, TV, video games, etc., has been brought down too. Vivendi used to own Universal.

Megaupload shutdown raises new Internet-sharing fears

By Cecilia Kang, Saturday, January 21, 9:27 AM

The Justice Department’s shutdown of the popular file-sharing site Megaupload.com reverberated across the Internet on Friday, sparking fresh questions for major Web companies while rattling millions of users of sites like it.
Although federal authorities said Megaupload.com was part of an international criminal ring, the practice of providing digital “lockers” so people can store and share their photos, movies, songs and the rest of their digital lives is very common. Sites such as Facebook, Dropbox, YouTube and YouSendIt can be used to swap both legitimate and pirated content.

Megaupload allegedly took the practice to a new level of criminality. Federal prosecutors said the firm paid users to upload illegal movies and music and tried to hide the practice. The investigators said its executives used their ill-gotten gain for a lavish lifestyle, adding that they confiscated dozens of luxury autos, including a Rolls-Royce with the plate “GOD” owned by site founder Kim Schmitz, who also goes by the name Kim Dotcom. Megaupload Shutdown Inspires Hack Attack

Anonymous takes down websites for Department of Justice, Universal Music Group.

Shortly after federal officials took action against the file-sharing Megaupload site on Thursday, the hacktivist group Anonymous launched a series of online actions to protest the shutdown.
In what experts are calling the largest series of hack attacks in history, the faceless global organization of Internet activists claimed responsibility for taking down the websites of the U.S. Department of Justice and the world's biggest record label, Universal Music Group, along with the sites for the Recording Industry Association of America, the Motion Picture Association of America, the U.S. Copyright Office and the Utah Chiefs of Police Association. The organization also threatened a similar action against the FBI's website.
At press time, the Universal and Utah Chiefs sites appeared to still be down, while the others had restored service. The MPAA issued a statement on Thursday about the hack. "Our website and many others, including the Department of Justice, were attacked today and the hacker group Anonymous is claiming responsibility for the attacks," it read. "We are working with law enforcement authorities to identify those responsible. Unfortunately, some groups believe that speech or ideas that they disagree with should be silenced. This could not be more wrong. No matter the point of view, everyone has a right to be heard. The motion picture and television industry has always been a strong supporter of free speech. We strongly condemn any attempts to silence any groups or individuals ... protecting copyrights and protecting free speech go hand in hand."
In response to the takedowns, the Twitter feed associated with Anonymous posted the group's manifesto: "We are Anonymous, We are legion, We never forgive, We never forget, Expect us." In a later communiqué, the group wrote, "The government takes down Megaupload? 15 minutes later Anonymous takes down government & record label sites.". Read More @ www.mtv.com/news

"When officers arrived, they found a vehicle had run into a garage door at that location with the engine running and tires spinning on the pavement. Ms. Bagherzadeh was found slumped over in the driver's seat," the Houston Police Department said in a statement.

"It's not believed that she was targeted because of her ethnicity or because she was an activist," Houston Police Department spokesman Victor Senties told ABCNews.com.

"They're still in the process of investigating," Senties said. "We're still trying to question anyone that might know her or might know if there was someone that wanted to harm her."

"We don't know why she ended up back there on the back end. Maybe they only lived here for a short time, maybe she's unfamiliar with the property, because from what we understand from friends and relatives is she always parks on the street in front of her townhome," Bolton said.

Investigators are looking into neighborhood surveillance footage to see "if there's anything that could possibly help," Senties said.

Flashmob Di KLIA || Flashmob at KLIA

Malaysia Airlines Missing You Flashmob at KLIA

by on Jan 16, 2012

Passengers arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Saturday, 14 January 2012 were greeted with a flash mob as they made their way out of the Arrival Hall on Level 3. Much to the delight of unsuspecting onlookers, plus the odd stare in disbelief, visitors at KLIA witnessed some 100 singers and dancers break into spontaneous entertainment as part of Malaysia Airlines' special flash mob event held to welcome the New Year with a bang.

Themed 'Missing You', the flash mob at the Arrival Hall lasting 10 minutes featured a fun medley of eight popular hit songs in various languages.

Video MAS "Missing You" Flashmob at KLIA

The event kick-started with Malaysia Airlines' theme song "We fly" followed by Janet Jackson's racy track 'Miss You Much' to set the tone for the flash mob in which a young man with a guitar in hand walked up to his girlfriend and suddenly broke into a song and dance. This was immediately followed in another corner of the Hall by a supposedly heart-broken young man belting out Rahim Maarof's hit 'Istana Menanti' backed by a group singing acapella echoing his emotion. Soon after, the melodious sounds of popular Hindi tune 'Aankhein Khuli' from the movie Mohabbatein filled the air.

'My Boyfriend's Back' showcased a group of guys returning from holiday only to be greeted by an enthusiastic group of girlfriends. Next was Richie Ren's version of 'Lang Hua Yi Duo Duo' sung by a group of Chinese tourist lads, complete with group leader waving a flag, on their way out of the Arrival Hall door. Saving the best for last, the flash mob continued with hits 'Rindu', 'Balik Kampung' and 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered,' featuring Malaysia Airlines cabin crew in full uniform.

The 'Missing You' flash mob finale was a 200-strong group performance of 'Akan Datang' which had the audience clapping and cheering on the performers.

Flash mob is a new trend worldwide involving a sizeable group of people who, out-of-the-blue, break into a dance act at a public place, for just a brief time, and disperse into the crowd as soon as it ends.

Malaysia Airlines' flash mob was put together with the talents from Enfiniti Productions, Malaysia Airlines staff & family, students from Unisel and renowned Malaysian professional dance choreographer Pat Ibrahim of Puteri Gunung Ledang, P. Ramlee and The Secret Life of Nora musicals fame.

Saud bin Nasser Al Shahry Selling His Son For $20 Million On Facebook!!

Saud bin Nasser Al Shahry with His Son

- AN (http://www.hmetro.com.my)

Dad Selling Son For $20 Million On Facebook: Nasser Al Shahry's Attempt To Avoid Poverty

When you're out of work and trying to feed your family do you try to sell off one of your children for millions?
That's allegedly what Saud bin Nasser Al Shahry did after the Saudi Arabian government forced him to shut his illegal business, The Daily Mail reports.
Al Shahry allegedly advertised on Facebook that his son could be had for $20 million, the tabloid says.
He turned to trafficking when the government put the kibosh on his debt collection business. Then, welfare officials denied his requests for aid, because he's older than 35, the age limit for receiving benefits, Emirates 24/7 says.
So Al Shahry allegedly offered up his own flesh and blood online, saying later that he wanted to avoid "living in poverty," according to media reports.
Child trafficking in Saudi Arabia is illegal and the post apparently violates Facebook's content policy. (TheHuffingtonPost.com)

Bipedal Bike Riding Robot || Robot Pintar Menunggang Basikal

Bipedal Bike Riding Robot

Robot creator Masahiko Yamaguchi has demonstrated a robot which can balance, steer and correct itself while riding a fixed-gear bike.

"A feature of this robot is, it pedals the bike with its own feet, and keeps its balance just by using the handlebars. I think this is probably a world first."
"I'm interested in artificial intelligence, and in that context, I think intelligence and skills have equal value. So my purpose in creating this robot was to pursue intelligence from the skills side. While I was thinking of suitable topics, my local science museum demonstrated a cycling robot. So I decided to consider cycling as the skill, and build a bicycle robot."

This robot system consists of a commercially available two-legged robot and a bicycle made by Yamaguchi. To detect how much the robot is tilting, the TAG201 gyro from Tamagawa Seiki is used. Based on the tilt data, a method called PID control is used to control the robot's balancing motion.

"There's a control board in the backpack. That needed to have a high processing speed, so I made my own board using the SH7125 CPU core."

"PID control is a classical control method. It's used to calculate how far to turn the handlebars when the frame tilts. By calculating proportional, integral, and differential components for the tilt, and adding them, the system calculates how far to turn the handlebars when the frame tilts. Also, the robot needs to decide which direction to go in, so we use a remote control to instruct it."

The system has two speeds. Because there aren't any brakes, the robot stops by taking its feet off the pedals and placing them on the ground.

"With an ordinary bicycle, the rear wheel keeps turning even when you stop pedaling. But in a fixed-gear bike, there's no ratcheting, so when you stop pedaling, the rear wheel stops, too. Ordinarily, that makes riding difficult, but with this robot, it also has a braking effect, so a fixed-gear bike is more convenient."

"From now on, I'd like to link this robot's skill to its intelligence. I personally don't like using a remote control for the robot. I'd like to make the robot intelligent enough to ride by itself. This system is the first step toward doing that."

Make-up women love but men hate || Make-up wanita suka tetapi lelaki benci

Neon lips, blue eyeshadow, shimmering glitter, and golden bronzers: This spring, some of the most dramatic looks we saw on the runways are making their way onto our faces. But not everything we dabble on pleases everyone. We had a hunch that some of our biggest beauty obsessions might be turn-offs for guys...so we went ahead asked. Prepare yourself: brutal honesty ensues.

1. Heavy foundation and powders: "The inch-thick powder is a huge turn-off," says Maxim senior editor Nick Leftley. "No guy wants to kiss a girl on the cheek and then find he¹s wearing foundation himself." A flaking face is one thing, but when your cheek becomes a palette of skin-tone colors, men pay attention...and not the good attention. "I'm always amazed to see women with two-tone faces, two apparently different shades of skin on the face, as if they apply makeup in the dark," says James Oliver Cury, the online editorial director at Maxim. "I'd rather see one greasy face than some sort of melanin imbalance. The nose should match the cheeks."

2. "Bumps": "I never liked, or knew of any other guy who liked, the Gwen Stefani "bumpit" look," says Henry Belanger, an editor at The Good Men Project. "Be wary of anything that makes your head look unnaturally large."

3. Neon lipstick: Most of the fashion world agreed that electric pouts were a beauty "do" this season. Some men, however, beg to differ. "Orange lips are definitely a departure from what we're used to and not necessarily something a lot of guys I know really respond to just quite yet," say fashion blogger John Januzzi of Lucky and the fashion website, Textbook.

4. Too-thin brows:"My pet peeve is overly plucked eyebrows," says David Swanson, Maxim's Features Editor."I mean, really? It's basically an advertisement that naturally you're hairier than Robin Williams. If it looks natural, we'd never have to wonder."

5. Bold eye-shadow: "I don't understand the revival of bright blue eyeshadow," proposes Maxim's Cury. "Is it retro? Is it purposefully over-the-top? To my eyes, it just looks tacky no matter how you wear it." Lucky's Januzzi isn't as bothered by color as he is by application. "Smoky eyes--when done right are great--very sexy and attractive but when done wrong they look a total mess," he says. "Seek professional guidance before trying at home."

6. Rosy cheeks:
"As far as make-up goes, I think rouge is for old ladies," adds Good Men Project's Belanger. "I think guys generally prefer the kind of make-up you don't notice is there, and since there's a lot that guys don't notice I think women have a lot of leeway."

7. Two-toned lips:Remember Kim Mathers? She was almost as famous for her lip liner issues as she was for being defamed by Eminem. According to our dude survey, the pucker problem was more serious. "When I see thin lines drawn around a pair of lips, I think: Is this part of some gang initiation rite?" says Cury.

8. Glitter:"Women need to be judicious with it," says Cury. "It¹s like any good seasoning. You shouldn't shake it all over. It can overwhelm the main course." That being said, he's not opposed to a heavy sprinkle of cleavage glitter. Figures.
